Lines that I was confused by:
1.
The tsunami was triggered by an earthquake of size 9.1 magnitude that sacrificed around 230K people in more than 12 countries, entering Indonesia, India, sri Lanka and Thailand, making natural disaster that is a record in history (confused specifically by the phrase "salah satu bencana alam paling dahsyat")
2.
Dengan kerjasama rapat bersama pemerintah Indonesia, Singapura memberikan bantuan dan turut serta dalam usaha kemanusiaan antarabangsa
My translation: With close cooperation with government of Indonesia, Singapore gave help and with humanity... (after using Google Translate I understand it means "participated in international humanitarian efforts", I just need to check whether/why "turut serta" means participate)
Gelombang maut = the deadly waves
ReplyDeleteTermasuk = including
ReplyDeleteSalah satu = one of (salah here means definitely because a mistake is finite and confirm, otherwise it is an allegation)
ReplyDeleteBencana alam is in our 3201 syllabus regatding the flood which means natural catastrophe
ReplyDeleteYang paling dahsyat = the most terrifying
ReplyDeleteYang direkidkan dalam sejarah = which was recorded in the history
ReplyDeleteMemberi bantuan = provide assistance
ReplyDeleteTurut serta = also participated (what is the problem?) You also say continue following, is part of the style of reporting
